When it comes to Health & Safety, Atlantic Towing has taken the approach that simply complying with the regulations and maintaining the minimal requirements is not enough. In order to create a true safety culture, and one that influences our employees actions not only on the job site, but at home and in their personal lives as well, we need to go above and beyond the regulations. For this reason Atlantic Towing has created a dedicated Health & Safety department that is separate from the Management Systems & Compliance dept. It is the mandate of the Health & Safety dept. to develop and implement health and safety initiatives, such as behavioral based safety programs, awareness and training sessions, personalized health plans, on board vessel visits and other educational programs that enable Atlantic Towing to achieve a culture where health and safety is always top of mind and every employee feels encouraged and incentivized to put safety first.
